The drinking water well at 313s is <br /> considered "endangered" by both SJC-EHD and the CVRWQCB due to its proximity to <br /> petroleum contaminated ground water from previously leaking underground storage <br /> gasoline/diesel tanks at 36s and Flag City Chevron. Although the well is NOT currently <br /> impacted by petroleum, its continued use is affecting the ground water plume and its impact is <br /> probably just a short time away. If an alternative water supply was available, it would be best <br /> to have it supply 313s. <br /> With out contamination, EHD cannot direct the removal of the well. If you can <br /> remember, Rockys Restaurant's well WAS impacted by the gasoline/diesel contamination and <br /> it was removed under our directives. The public water system currently supplying Rockys was <br /> additionally extended to provide water to 313s in the future as the need arises. It appears that <br /> the time may have come.
