ASSURED INSPECTION MANAGEMENT
AIM11.1 7
TESTING LABORATORY
(Page 3 )
r
VI GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING
As mentioned, there is an operating well located on Mr. Paulus
property. According to Mr. Paulus, the maximum depth of the
well is about 210 feet. According to the map of "Lines of Equal
Depth to Water in Wells" published by the San Joaquin County
Flood Control and Water District in Spring of 1990, the depth to
groundwater at this location is between 70 and 80 feet.
A water sample was obtained from the well on March 1, 1991 . The
ti sample was submitted to J.L. Analytical Services , Inc. , of
Modesto, California on this same date. Testing was performed
for the presence of EDB (ethelylene dibromide) , DBCP
(dibromochloropropane) and Nitrates . A copy of the test results
is enclosed herein. The results indicated that the substances
tested were below the maximum concentration level allowed by
law.
VII SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS
On February 22, 1991, two test sites were drilled using a 8"
hollow stem auger. One test hole was drilled to a depth of 25
feet. A second test hole was drilled to a depth of 5 feet. The
soil was classified as mostly silty material (see enclosed
site map and percolation test data) .
Percolation tests were conducted on February 25, 1991, at a
location near center of the proposed leach field (see map) .
Hole number one ( 25 ' depth) had a percolation rate of 21 . 8
Minutes Per Inch. Hole number two ( 5' depth) had a percolation
rate of 60 Minutes Per Inch. Tests were witnessed by San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Specialist, Mr. Hector
Castro. A soil profile and percolation test report is enclosed
herein.
2900 Standiford Avenue, Suite 16B-278 • Modesto, CA 95350 • (209) 523-0754
