GP-93-2 AND <br /> ZONE RECLASSIFICATION APPLICATION NO. ZR-93-2 OF LEROY <br /> METTLER (DISTRICT 4) <br /> IT IS RECOMMENDED: <br /> That the Board of Supervisors: <br /> 1. Approve the Negative Declaration; <br /> 2. Approve General Plan Map Amendment Application No. GP-93-2 based upon the "Basis for <br /> Recommendation' contained in the Staff Report; and <br /> 3. Approve Zone Reclassification No. ZR-93-2 based upon the "Basis for Recommendation: <br /> contained in the Staff Report. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On February-23, 1993, the applicant submitted this General Plan map amendment from A/G (Agriculture) <br /> to R/L (Low Density Residential) and a request for zone reclassification from AG-40 to R-L. This site is <br /> under Williamson Act contract. A Notice of Nonrenewal was accepted by the Board of Supervisors on <br /> January 14, 1986 and became effective on March 1, 1986. The contract will expire on March 1, 1996. <br /> Because the R-L zone is not consistent with the Williamson Act contract, the zone reclassification to R-L <br /> was withdrawn. This zone reclassification to AU-20 is being processed by staff. AU-20 is a consistent <br /> holding zone for the Residential Low Density General Plan designation until the Williamson Act contract <br /> has expired. <br /> REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: <br /> This project consists of two parts. The first part is a General Plan map amendment to change the General <br /> Plan designation of 19 acres from Agriculture to Low Density Residential. The second part is a zone <br /> reclassification of 19 acres from AG-40(Agriculture, 40-acre minimum lot size) to AU-20 (Agriculture Urban <br /> Reserve, 20-acre minimum lot size). <br /> BOS LETTER PAGE 1 <br />
