DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
ER-90-8
PAGE THREE
12 . Topsoil or the material, as approved by the USDA SCS, shall
be added to raise the elevation of the site so that the root
zone of crops will not be subjected to saturation conditions
under the Reclamation Plan. The USDA SCS shall approve the
required amounts and location of additional material to be
added.
13 . The Reclamation Plan for the north side of the Mokelumne River
shall include grading and drainage details that will conduct
surface runoff towards the large stock pond in the southwest
corner of the site. Grading and drainage facilities shall be
designed and constructed so as to maintain current runoff
levels to the wetland area.
14 . Excavation shall be limited along the bluff to the south and
east of the project area to avoid removal of native trees in
these areas. If certain trees cannot be feasibly avoided,
mitigation shall be as follows:
- For each tree that will be removed, three, twenty-four
inch box trees shall be planted, or, in the case of
heritage trees (36 inches diameter or greater measured
at 4 . 5 feet above ground level) , one sixty inch box tree
shall be planted. It shall be the responsibility of the
applicant to plant all replacement trees prior to the
initiation of use. The applicant shall be responsible
for the maintenance and protection of said trees during
the life of the project's approval.
The Grading Plan shall identify all trees that would be
lost or whose drip line would be impacted by excavation.
The applicant shall have a qualified biologist or a
certified arborist conduct an inventory of the trees that
would be impacted by the excavation. The tree inventory
will be submitted as an appendix of the Grading Plan.
15. No excavation or other activity shall occur within five feet
of the dripline of the trees that will not be removed. The
applicant shall install and maintain protective fencing to
protect those areas within five (5) feet of the drip line of
these trees.
