Monitoring: <br /> -The County shall periodically inspect the excavation to ensure compliance with <br /> minimum setbacks. Modifications shall be required of any work that does not <br /> meet the specifications of the approved plan. <br /> Mitigation 4. - To minimize potential loss of soil productivity, surface soils shall be <br /> separated from subsoils and stockpiled separately. Resoiling shall be conducted to <br /> restore original soil stratigraphy. A soil segregation and resoiling plan shall be submitted <br /> to and approved by the County, the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, and the California <br /> Division of Mines and Geology. <br /> Implementation Responsibilities: <br /> -Applicant provides the services of a soils scientist to develop a soil segregation and <br /> resoiling plan to the County recommending depth of excavation of surface soils <br /> for each area excavated and criteria for recommendation. <br /> -The County, the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, and the California Division of Mines <br /> and Geology either approve the report or require modifications. <br /> -Applicant implements approved plan. <br /> Schedule: <br /> -The soils report shall be submitted and approved along with the project grading plan.. <br /> Monitoring: <br /> -The County shall periodically inspect the excavation to ensure compliance with <br /> conditions of the approved plan.
