-Slope stability analyses and recommendations shall be submitted and approved along <br /> with the project grading plan. <br /> Monitoring: <br /> -The County Building Department shall periodically inspect the excavation to ensure <br /> that the maximum recommended slopes are not exceeded. The County shall <br /> require modification of any work that does not meet the specifications of the <br /> approved plan. <br /> Mitieation 3. - To minimize the potential for impact to slope stability of the bluff areas, <br /> minimum setbacks for excavation shall be established by a soils engineer or certified <br /> engineering geologist. The applicant shall obtain written approval of proposed setbacks <br /> from the Department of Public Works prior to excavation. <br /> Implementation Responsibilities: <br /> -Applicant provides the services of a soils engineer or certified engineering geologist <br /> to establish minimum setbacks based on natural slope and subsurface conditions <br /> encountered during excavation. <br /> -The applicant submits a report to the Department of Public Works recommending <br /> minimum setbacks and the justification for these recommendations. <br /> -The County either approves the recommended setbacks or require modifications. <br /> Schedule: <br /> -Recommendations for minimum setbacks sliall be submitted and approved along with <br /> the project grading plan. <br /> 117 <br />
