-Applicant constructs basin to specifications established in the approved design. <br /> Schedule: <br /> - The designs for the retention/percolation basin shall be submitted and approved by <br /> the County prior to initial quarry excavation. <br /> Monitoring: <br /> -County Department of Public Works shall inspect final construction of the basin to <br /> ensure that it is constructed according to the approved design. <br /> Mitigation 5. - The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works shall determine an <br /> adequate setback from their drainage pond to prevent inundation of the gravel extraction <br /> area in the event of rainfall greater than the 10 year storm. This setback shall be <br /> reviewed by a soils engineer or certified engineering geologist to ensure that it is <br /> adequate to prevent pond slope failure due to quarry excavation. <br /> Implementation Responsibilities: <br /> -Applicant's soils engineer or certified engineering geologist establishes recommended <br /> setbacks from the drainage pond including criteria for recommendations, and <br /> submits these recommendations to the County Public Works Department. <br /> -County reviews recommendations and either approves recommendations or requires <br /> modifications. <br /> -Applicant excavates project area utilizing approved setbacks. <br /> Schedule: <br /> -The recommended setbacks shall be submitted to and approved by the County prior <br /> to excavation within 200 feet of the drainage pond. <br /> 122 <br />
