Implementation Responsibilities: <br /> -See Hydrology and Water Quality, Mitigation 3 <br /> Schedule: <br /> -See Hydrology and Water Quality, Mitigation 3 <br /> Monitoring: <br /> -See Hydrology and Water Quality, Mitigation 2 <br /> Mitieation 10. - To mitigate for the impact to riparian habitat along the route of the <br /> proposed access road and bridge, disturbed scrub, freshwater marsh north of the <br /> Mokelumne River, and grassland with scattered trees in the borrow area the following <br /> mitigation shall be provided: <br /> On the north side of the Mokelumne River, a 100 foot buffer from the northern <br /> edge of the riparian corridor (as defined by the outer canopy edge of the <br /> Riparian Overstory) shall be developed to provide additional habitat and screen <br /> the riparian corridor from operations at the processing facility and future <br /> agricultural activity. This buffer shall extend the length of the area proposed for <br /> reclamation north of the river. This buffer shall include preservation of the <br /> freshwater marsh area. A revegetation plan utilizing native trees and shrubs shall <br /> be developed to provide effective screening from mining and agricultural <br /> activities, and enhance wildlife habitat within.the buffer zone. This plan shall <br /> be prepared by a qualified biologist and submitted to the County for approval <br /> prior to project construction. <br /> i <br /> At a minimum, the revegetation plan shall replace lost trees within the riparian <br /> corridor by planting trees within the buffer as follows: <br /> Replacement at a ratio of five to one shall be required for valley oaks <br /> and three to one for other native trees six inches or greater in diameter, <br /> measured at 4.5 feet above ground level.
