Mitigation 8. - A mitigation plan shall be developed and submitted to and approved by <br /> the County and the California Department of Fish and Game prior to construction which <br /> provides for development of wetland habitat to compensate for any of the freshwater <br /> marsh that would be impacted by the access road construction. This mitigation shall <br /> involve expansion of the existing freshwater marsh and provide for no net loss of <br /> wetlands. <br /> Implementation Responsibilities: <br /> -Applicant provides the services of a qualified biologist to design a mitigation plan for <br /> the loss of wetlands and submits the plan to the County Planning Department. <br /> -County approves the mitigation plan, in consultation with the California Department <br /> of Fish and Game, or requires modifications. <br /> -Applicant implements approved mitigation plan. <br /> Schedule: <br /> -Mitigation plan shall be implemented in conjunction with initial project construction. <br /> Monitoring: <br /> -Applicant biologist shall conduct an annual report on the success of the mitigation <br /> plan. <br /> -Any deficiencies in the success of the mitigation plan will be corrected by the <br /> Applicant prior to the following annual status report. <br /> Mitigation 9. - To reduce the potential for impact to water quality and fisheries from <br /> bank erosion, bridge construction shall be conducted to minimize constriction of the <br /> channel and prevent a decrease in flood carrying capacity of the Mokelumne River. <br /> E <br /> 135 <br />
