i ADDENDUM NO. 2 Date: May 17, 2000 Project: Lewis Manor Well Construction (phase 1) And Destruction Of Three Abandoned Wells And Two Pump Houses CIP Project No. 7502, 7503 & 7535 To all bidders submitting proposals for the above referenced project. The following items are changes, additions and/or clarifications to the Contract Documents. This addendum is hereby made part of the Contract Documents to the extent as though it were originally included therein. Please acknowledge your receipt of this addendum by signing and stapling it to the last page of the "Proposal" when your bid is submitted. ITEM NO. 1 The bid opening date has been changed from Thursday, May 98, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. to Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at 3:00 p.m. ITEM NO. 2 The last paragraph of DIVISION 1, "NOTICE INVITING BIDS'; shown on page 2, is hereby amended to read: in accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class (A) General Engineering Contractor's with a C57(Well Drilling) License or C57 (Well Drilling) Contractor's License, and a City of Tracy Business License at the time that the contact is awarded. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to award of the contract to any bidder not possessing said license at the time of award. ITEM NO. 3 The paragraph of DIVISION !I, Section 9 - "TIMING OF CONSTRUCTION", shown on page 4, is hereby amended to read.- The ead.The time of construction activities shall be limited between 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., unless approved by the Engineer. No work shall be done on the weekends, holidays and before or after these specified hours, unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. No mechanical equipment, including hauling by trucks, shall start before 7:30 a.m. and must shut down before 4:30 p.m. unless approved by the Engineer.
