ITEM NO. 4 The first paragraph of DIVISION 11, Section 12- `PROGRESS MEETINGS", shown on page 5, is hereby amended to read: The Contractor, and sub contractors) if requested by the City, shall attend progress meetings, as necessary, that will be scheduled by the Engineer. ITEM NO. 5 The second paragraph of DIVISION Il, SECTION 14 - "PROTECTION OF EXISTING UTILITIES". shown on page 6, is hereby amended to read: It is the Contractor's responsibility to notify and coordinate with the various utility companies (Pacific Bell, PG&E, TCI Cablevision, AT&T, and the Chevron Pipeline Company) at least 14 days in advance of any work scheduled to be performed near their facilities, and to schedule their own work accordingly. Specifically, the Contractor shall contact and coordinate with the.local PG&E office at (20.9) 942- 5093, for the shut off of electrical power to theyarious projectlocations (including_equipment and buildings on site). ITEM NO. 6 The second paragraph of DIVISION 11, SECTION 16 - "DUST AND NOISE CONTROL", shown on page 7, is hereby amended to read: The Contractor shall make every reasonable effort to control noise generated as a result of this construction to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Use of air compressor,jack hammer and other vibrating and loud sound generating equipment shall be limited to between the hours of 7.30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise authorized by the Engineer. Sound blankets (acoustical curtains)or equal, as'a minimum, shall be provided along the northerly and easterly side of the new Lewis Manor well drilling site to reduce the noise level to the City's standard requirements. Wall height, length and location shall be adequate to assure proper acoustical performance. if at any time prior to or' during the drilling operation the noise limits are exceeded, the Contractor shall. take immediate corrective action through drilling equipment modifications, addition of noise abatement equipment, or change in operating procedures. 'The' Contractor shall not resume the drilling operations until he is in compliance with the noise limits. ITEM NO. 7 The first paragraph of DIVISION 11, SECTION 17- "DISPOSAL OF MATERIAL", shown on page 8, is hereby amended to read:
