Box 277
Victor, CA 95253
GROUND WATER MONITORING, DOLE FRESH FRUIT/VICTOR FRUIT, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Enclosed is a memorandum reviewing the subject report, dated 5 July 1989.
This report is in response to our 7 March 1989 letter requesting a ground
water monitoring system to help determine if the total dissolved solids (TOS)
in your effluent has affected the underlying ground water.
We have determined that your report is incomplete and needs more data and
information, as discussed in the memorandum. We are also concerned with the
occasionally high levels of TDS (up to 33,700 mg/1 ) being discharged to your
percolation checks and request you develop a source control plan to reduce
your effluent TDS concentration.
Please submit the information requested in the memorandum and a time schedule
for a source control plan to us by 25 August 1989.
If you have any q estions, please call Twila Leclerc at (916) 361-5673.
ANTONI K.
