We have the following four comments:
1. California Fruit Processors and Dole Food Company need to submit a cover letter indicating that
they approve of and authorize the work contained in the work plan by 13 April 2001.
2. At two of the six borings, soil samples shall be collected at one-foot intervals from the surface to
30 feet below ground level. This sampling procedure should clearly define the depth that waste
(constituents of concern)has migrated through the soil column.
3. The analytical method for analyzing the soil samples for constituents of concern is not specified
in the report. We request the laboratory use the California WET with deionized water.
4. We recommend at a minimum two background soil sampling location.
We concur with the work plan if California Fruit Processors and Dole Food Company implement the
above comments. Staff looks forward to working with you and your staff during this project.
