WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREIGIENTS ORDER NO. • -8- <br /> R. LAWSON ENTERPRISES DBA WILDROSE VINEYARDS <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 6. The wastewater shall not have a pH less than 6.5 or greater than 8.5. <br /> 7. Public contact with wastewater shall be precluded through such means as fences, signs, and <br /> other acceptable alternatives. <br /> C. Reclamation Requirements: <br /> 1. Discharge of reclaimed water shall be performed in agronomic rates consistent with good <br /> agricultural practices. <br /> 2. The use of reclaimed water shall be limited to surface irrigation of orchards, <br /> vineyards, and fodder, fiber, and seed crops and shall comply with the Department of <br /> Health Services' guidelines for the use of reclaimed water. <br /> 3. Reclamation water shall remain within the approved reclamation areas at all times. <br /> Reclaimed water shall be managed to prevent runoff onto adjacent properties not <br /> owned or controlled by the Discharger. <br /> 4. The use of reclaimed water shall not cause a nuisance or pollution as defined by the <br /> California Water Code, Section 13050. <br /> 5. There shall be no irrigation or impoundment of reclaimed water within 50 feet of any <br /> irrigation well or within 100 feet of any domestic well. <br /> 6. Supplementing reclaimed water by connection with a domestic drinking water source <br /> or an irrigation or industrial well requires an air gap device or backflow prevention <br /> device that complies with Title 17, California Code of Regulations, Section 7583, et <br /> seq. <br /> 7. The perimeter of the reclamation area shall be graded to prevent ponding along public <br /> roads or other public areas. <br /> 8. Areas irrigated with reclaimed water shall be managed so as to prevent breeding of <br /> mosquitoes. More specifically, <br /> a. Tailwater must be returned and all irrigation water must infiltrate completely within 48 <br /> hours. <br /> b. Ditches must be maintained free of emergent, marginal, and floating vegetation. <br /> c. Low pressure and unpressurized pipelines and ditches accessible to mosquitoes shall not <br /> be used to store reclaimed waters. <br /> D. Sludge Disposal: <br /> 1. Collected screenings, sludges, and other solids removed from liquid wastes shall be disposed <br /> of in a manner that is consistent with Title 27, Division 2, Subdivision 1 of the CCR and <br /> approved by the Executive Officer. <br /> C'.\mjmt Film\ itaMld Rase\V wc_dft WDKdoc <br />
