Ile
4.3 Groundwater Sample Analysis
Theoundwater samples were subnutted for
' p analysis to McCampbell Analytical, Inc The
samples collected from MW-1 through MW-3 were analyzed for TPH-D by EPA Method 8015,
BTEX constituents by EPA Method 8020, and MTBE by EPA method 8260 The samples were
inadvertently analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method
8015 The laboratory report is included in Appendix C
4.4
Field Monitoring Results
The average measured depth to water beneath the site was 10 44 feet bsg, with an average
groundwater surface elevation of 39 09 feet above mean sea level (msl) No field indications of
fuel product or dissolved fuel constituents were observed Groundwater flow was toward the
southwest at an average gradient of 0 05 foot per foot A summary of data for water level
measurements and groundwater elevations is presented in Table 2 A groundwater contour map
is included as Figure 5
' 4.5 Groundwater Sample Results
No analytes were detected in any of the groundwater samples Analytical results are summarized
in Table 3 and depicted in Figure 6 A copy of the laboratory report is included in Appendix C
5.0 Soil and Water Disposal—
A total of four 55-gallon drums of soil cuttings were generated from well construction field
activities and stored on-site pending disposal Soil samples that were collected and analyzed
during well installation activities were also used to profile the soil for disposal purposes The
soil was transported to TPS Technologies, Inc in Adelanto, California for disposal A copy of
the non-hazardous waste manifest is included in Appendix F
Approximately 57 5 gallons of well development water were generated during the July 21, 2003
well development and groundwater sampling events The water generated was removed from
the SBC facility and transported to Shaw's facility in Sacramento, California for storage pending
off-site disposal
r
•
rCNCDl08-11-0310 SHARFlUST/0340096 doc 6
