QUARTl3RLY MONITORING REPORT FOURTTt UARTER OF 19911
Tray Boulevard Shell
3725 Tracy Boulevard,Tracy,Caliromia
Shelt WIC No.204-7884-Ml
Delta Project Na,40.89.012
— Page 2
2.2 ManitorinWe115
Monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2,and MW-3 were d;-illed and installed around the perimeter of the site to
a depth of 22 feet. 'These wells were abandoned and replaced with monitoring wells MW-IA,MW-2A,and
MW-3A on August 16, 1990. The new wells were installed adjacent to the abandoned well locations
(Figure 2).
3.0 RE, OF 1NViSTIGATION ACTTVITIF,S
3.1 Ground Witter Elevation Data
Depths to ground water were measured at monitoring wells MW-1A, MW-2A, and MW-3A on
November 19,1990. Ground water elevations are summarized in Table 1. Using ground water elevation
data collected during the November 19,1990,sampling event, the ground water flow direction was towards
the northeast at a hydraulic gradient of approximately 0.0016. A groundwater contour map based on
measurements collected on November 19,1990,is illustrated in Figure 3.
3.2 Ground Water Anal tcal Results
Ground water samples were collected on November 19,1990,from monitoring wells MW-1A,MW-2A,and
MW-3A and were submitted to a California certified laboratory for analysis of benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene and xylene(BTEX),and total petroleum hydrocarbons(rPH). Chemical analysis results of
monitoring wells MW-IA, MW-2A, and MW-3A were all below detection limits for BTEX and TPH as
gasoline.
Ground water analytical results for samples collected through November 19, 1990, are summarized in
Table 2. Certified laboratory reports are presented in Appendix A Ground water samples will be collected
in February 1991 for chemical analysis of BTEX and TPH as gasoline.
