(Cambria) prepared this report on behalf of Equilon
Enterprises LLC dba,Shell Oil Products US (Shell) in accordance with the quarterly reporting
requirements of 23 CCR 2652d.
THIRD QUARTER 2003 ACTIVITIES
Groundwater Monitoring: Blaine Tech Services, Inc. (Blaine) of San Jose, California gauged
and sampled all site wells and prepared a summary table of field gauging data and petroleum
hydrocarbon and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations. Cambria prepared a
summary table of additional groundwater analytical data (Table 1), a site vicinity/well survey.
map (Figure 1), and a groundwater contour/chemical concentration map (Figure 2). Blaine's
report, which includes the laboratory report, is included as Appendix A. Sampling was
coordinated with sampling activities conducted at the Chevron service station located at 3775
Tracy Boulevard. Available groundwater monitoring data and analytical results for the Chevron
station are included as Appendix B.
Groundwater Remediation: Periodic groundwater extraction (GWE) using a vacuum truck
began February 7, 2000. Between June 25,. 2003 and September 23,' 2003, a total of 3,500
Oakland, CA gallons of groundwater was removed from well MW-1A. Between June 25, 2003 and
San Ramon, CA
Sonoma, CA September 23, 2003, a total of 5,400 gallons of groundwater was removed from well BF-1. A
summary of the volume of groundwater extracted at the site and an estimate of the amount of
Cambria total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, and MTBE removed is presented in
Environmental
Technology,Inc. Table 2. Cambria also prepared a graph (Figure 3) which is a plot of MTBE concentration in
monitoring well MW-lA versus time. Cumulative mass removed is also shown on the graph.
C.)Perkins Street
P.O.Box 259
Sonoma,CA 95476
.Tel(707)935-4850
Fax(707)935-6649
