' performed on February 14 and 15, 2002. A report of the well installation and well
abandonment was submitted on April 8, 2002.
' This report documents the groundwater monitoring event that was performed at the Site on
September 16, 2015 and September 17, 2015. The sampling protocol followed the July 28
and August 24, 2000, Groundwater Monitoring Work Plan and Addendum prepared by
' Geological Technics Inc. as well as the January 8, 2001, Work Plan Addendum #2:
Disinfection of Groundwater Monitoring Wells. Monitoring well locations are shown on
Figure 2.
3.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING
On September 16, 2015 and September 17, 2015, Ground Zero personnel mobilized to the
WWTP to purge and sample the wells. The following sections present a discussion of the
' data collected during the monitoring event.
3.1 Site Hydrology
' The average groundwater elevation during the September 2015 monitoring event is 61.19
feet above msl. Groundwater elevations measured in the groundwater monitoring wells
ranged from 59.43 feet above msl in MW-3 to 67.62 feet above msl MW-7. The average
groundwater elevation increased 0.82 feet from the June 23, 2015 monitoring event and
' decreased 0.29 feet from the September 11, 2014 monitoring event. Historical groundwater
elevation, gradient and flow direction data are summarized in Table 1.
' There is a groundwater mound in the vicinity of MW-7, which is consistent with historical
groundwater conditions. The groundwater level in well MW-7 fluctuates widely and the well
has historically gone dry. The groundwater fluctuations are possibly a result of less recharge
' in neighboring areas or that the groundwater is perched, as the well is screened directly above
a tight silt layer. The elevation data for MW-7 was not used in determining the groundwater
contours. The potentiometric groundwater contours are shown on Figure 3.
' 3.2 Groundwater Sample Analyses
' Two (2) 1-liter sterile bottles and four (4) VOA's from each well were submitted to BC
Laboratories of Bakersfield, California(ELAP# 1186) for the following analyses:
Five Day 20 C Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BODS) by SM17-5210
Nitrate as Nitrogen (NO3-N) and chloride by EPA method 300.0
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) by EPA method 160.1
Fixed Dissolved Solids (FDS) and Volatile Dissolved Solids (VDS) by EPA method
' 160.4
Total Alkalinity by EPA method SM2320B
' . Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) by EPA method 8260B, 8010 List.
Dissolved Sodium by EPA method 6010B
Standard minerals including chloride
Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. 3
894 3`d QMR 15
