AREA B : <br /> Background Spent etchants containing (NaOH) sodium hydroxide <br /> and ammonium biflouride were surface discharged <br /> in Area B over a couple of months time. Please see <br /> attached Exhibit A-1 . <br /> Soil Samples A total of two (2) bores will be drilled in Area <br /> B. Soil samples will be collected at 5 ' , 10 ' , <br /> 15 ' , and 20' per bore. Please see attached <br /> Exhibit B for the soil analyses to be performed <br /> on these samples. <br /> AREA C & D: <br /> Background Because the spent etchants did not quickly seep <br /> into the ground in Area B , Lustre-Cal Nameplate <br /> Corporation discharged the etchant material to <br /> Area C and D. <br /> In addition , when the bunker tank became full with <br /> water and spent solvent materials , Lustre-Cal <br /> Nameplate Corporation drained a portion of the <br /> tank liquid to Area C and D. <br /> Soil Samples Three bores will be drilled in Area D. Please see <br /> the attached drawing, Exhibit A-2 . Material was <br /> discharged in the area labeled Existing Unimproved <br /> Area. This area has since been asphalt paved . <br /> Four bores will be drilled in Area C. <br /> Soil Samples will be collected at 5 ' , 10 ' , 15 ' and <br /> 20' per bore. Please see attached Exhibit B for <br /> the soil analyses to be performed for Area C and <br /> D. <br />
