EXHIBIT B <br /> SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS <br /> Soil A 6" hollow stem auger rig will be used to drill <br /> Sampling all soil bores . A 2 . 5" O .D. split spoon sampler <br /> lined with three 6" brass tubes will collect all <br /> soil samples , except as indicated for the bunker <br /> soil samples. All bores will be logged by a Certi- <br /> fied Geologist . <br /> The split spoon will be driven into the soil by <br /> the rig ' s hammer . The brass tube ends will be <br /> immediately covered with waxed paper , then alumi- <br /> num foil , and will be sealed with a plastic cap . <br /> Duct tape will be wrapped around the cap ends to <br /> prevent dislodging and vapor releases . All samples <br /> will each be placed in a plastic bag and will be <br /> shipped on ice and transported to a Certified DOHS <br /> laboratory for analysis . <br /> All sample tubes will have the date , depth, boring <br /> number , and location written on them. The middle <br /> of the three brass tubes from each soil sample <br /> will be used for analysis . All soil samples will <br /> be retained by the laboratory for at least 30 <br /> days. All samples will be accompanied by the ap- <br /> propriate Chain-of-Custody sheet. <br /> Prior to each sample driven , the split spoon will <br /> be cleaned with Trisodium Phosphate and water . The <br /> sample will then be put through two water rinses <br /> to wash off residue . <br /> Chain-of- All samples will be accompanied by Chain-of- <br /> Custody Custody documentation to include , as a minimum, a <br /> list of the following : <br /> a) Project Location <br /> b) Sample I .D. # , Date , and Time <br /> C) # of Samples <br /> d) Analysis Method to be Performed <br /> e) Sampler ' s Signature <br /> In addition, all documents will show time , <br /> signature , and date of the person who receives <br /> and/or relinquishes the samples to and from any <br /> location . <br />
