ZR-87-36 (LATHROP <br /> ACRES) OF THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS to <br /> rezone property from I-PA ( Interim Protected Agriculture ) , <br /> R1-8 (Residential ) , and R1-10 (Residential ) to H-S (Highway <br /> Service) , R1-U (Residential ) , or RA-15 (Residential ) . <br /> Located in an area northeast of Interstate 5 and Lathrop <br /> Road, Lathrop, and known as Lathrop Acres ( Supervisorial <br /> District No . 1 ) . <br /> Tom Walker , Deputy Director, introduced the staff report for the <br /> record. He said there are basically two issues : ( 1 ) What is to <br /> be the extent of the Highway Service zoning in the southwest por- <br /> tion of the area? He said that the entire three-acre parcel <br /> north of the property discussed for UP-87-16 is being recommended <br /> by staff for Highway Service zoning. ( 2 ) If the area residents <br /> want to continue use of property for the keeping of animals , the <br /> property should be zoned RA-15 , which allows animal keeping. If <br /> there is no desire for animals to be kept in the area, a smaller <br /> residential zone may be used which would allow some of the vacant <br /> areas to be further subdivided down into 6 , 000-square-foot lots . <br /> Karen Ojeda, representative for Lathrop Municipal Advisory <br /> Council , requested that the item be continued until after the <br /> Lathrop MAC holds a hearing on the project on September 9 , 1987 . <br /> MOTION: <br /> Moved, seconded (Gillispie-Bozzano) , and approved by a unanimous <br /> roll call vote to continue the item to the hearing of September <br /> 17 , 1987 (Comm.
