Pat Pilling �/)/!/� <br /> Case Pacific U <br /> 30104 Industrial Parkway <br /> Hayward, CA <br /> RE: Well installation without permit at Alden Park, Tracy, California <br /> Chevron Inc . is currently engaged in site assessment a,nd pilot project <br /> remediation in the Alden Park area of Tracy at the location of a former <br /> oil storage tank . Information supplied by Chevron indicates that a <br /> vapor well was installed by the Case Pacific Company at Alden Park in <br /> January of this year . Health District records indicate that a well <br /> permit was not issued for this activity. Installation of a well or <br /> soil boring without first obtaining a permit for this work is a <br /> violation of San Joaquin County Ordinance Code : Sections 5-4100 and <br /> 5-4101 ) and City of Tracy Ordinance Code : Sections 5-8 . 201, 5-8 . 202 and <br /> 5-8 . 203 . <br /> The following information must be submitted to this office within 10 <br /> days : <br /> 1 ) A completed Contractors questionnaire and copy of Contractors <br /> license . <br /> 2 ) A certificate of Workmans Compensation Insurance . <br /> 3 ) Detailed description of well construction including boring <br /> logs , equipment and procedures used, dates of construction, <br /> names and titles of persons performing work . <br /> The Case Pacific Company is hereby instructed not to engage in the <br /> drilling of wells or soil borings in San Joaquin County without first <br /> obtaining a permit for this work from the SJLHD.
