A trailer will house <br /> equipment as shown below. This test will last for two weeks and <br /> determine if much of the oil below the park can be removed by <br /> pumping. <br /> Soil Venting Test - We will construct a test facility to draw air <br /> through the ground north of Alden Park. This technique, known as <br /> "soil venting" , removes oil using biodegradation. The temporary <br /> test facility will be a small block building, and construction <br /> should be completed in late March. Tree problems in the park may be <br /> caused by an underground concrete slab that limits drainage and/or <br /> by oil in the soil . We will be drilling holes through the con- <br /> crete slab, therefore you might see some heavy equipment in the <br /> area.
