(Geomatrix)provided the draft MRP and requested additional changes on
your behalf in an e-mail dated 25 November 2002. Geomatrix requested removing benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline (TPH-g) from the
sampling program.
BTEX was last detected in groundwater at concentrations that exceeded the Regional Board Water
Quality Objectives in 1989 and TPH-g concentrations last exceeded the Water Quality Objectives in
1998. In addition, Geomatrix requested that the frequency of sampling be reduced from quarterly to
semi-annual.
The requested changes have been incorporated as discussed below.
1. BTEX and TPH-g was removed from the sampling program; and,
2. Sampling frequency was reduced from quarterly to semi-annual for all remaining constituents.
If you have any questions, you may contact Dean Hubbard at (559) 445-5179.
tLTON
`kl46?0Z2 R.
