(AGE) has prepared the
enclosed Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan for the property at 2349 Pacific Avenue,APN 113-354-
23, in Stockton, California. The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is
illustrated on Figure 2.
INTRODUCTIONBACKGROUND
This work plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) for the procurement of a soil boring permit. The work is being performed at the
request of Mr. Jerry Senderov to investigate for soil and ground water impacted by fuel components
related to former dispenser islands and underground storage tanks (USTs).
The subject property is located in the central portion of the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, on
the southwest corner of Pacific Avenue and Central Court. Land use of the surrounding properties is
both residential and commercial. The subject site is the location of a former gasoline station. According
to documents reviewed by AGE, the gasoline station was operated between approximately 1929 and
1942.
DRILLING AND SAMPLE COLLECTION
AGE proposes to advance four soil probe borings using GeoProbe "direct-push" techniques. AGE
proposes three soil probe borings in the parking lanes adjacent to the east and north boundaries of the
subject property and one boring in the alley located behind the property. Proposed probe boring
locations are illustrated in Figure 2.
The four soil borings will be advanced to approximately 30 feet bsg for collection of soil, and, if
encountered, grab ground water samples. Soil samples will be collected at 5-foot intervals beginning
at 10 feet bsg to 30 feet bsg. Grab ground water samples will be collected using a Geoprobe water
sampling assembly. Soil and ground water samples will be collected into appropriate containers
for analyses and will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for:
837 Shaw Road,Stockton,California 95215
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
