8203 Hwy 26, Stockton
Page 2
analytical 'consideration should start at this depth. Selection of soil samples to be
analyzed should be based on field observations.and a sufficient number of
samples should be analyzed to provide lateral and vertical definition in all
directions from the former tank area.
Please be advised that EHD is required to meet the California Well Standards
Bulletin 74-90 well grout specification of mixing 1-94 pound bag of Portland i
cement with each 5 to 6 gallons of water. Although, the county well standards
state that up to 10 gallons of water can be mixed with each 94 pound bag of
Portland cement, this is no longer approved.
Collection and analysis of water samples from the on-site drinking water well
should be included in the quarterly monitoring events for this site until the well is
destroyed.
r
An addendum to the work plan that incorporates.the above comments and a new
proposed site map should be submitted to EHD by October 2, 2002.
r
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department {
I
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Unit IV I
c: AGE — Bill Little
CVRWQCB — Marty Hartzell
r,.
l
