PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> The following procedures will be performed prior to any diggingidrilling activities: <br /> • Prepare a Site Health and Safety Plan in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities - Prepared by National Institute for <br /> Occupational Safety and Health, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast <br /> Guard and U S. Environmental Protection Agency, October 1985 <br /> • Notify the PHS-EHD a minimum of 48 hours prior to commencement of any work, while <br /> securing proper city/county soil boring or well permits. <br /> • All drilling locations will be marked at least 48 hours in advance for an Underground Service <br /> Alert (USA) check of underground utilities or pipes. <br /> In addition, the following procedures will be performed prior to construction/start-up of the SVE <br /> system: <br /> • An application for a site specific permit will be submitted to the San Joaquin Valley Air <br /> Pollution Control District prior- to initiation of the remediation project. <br /> • Proper building permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Building (Department <br /> for necessary SVE construction work, including electrical source installations. <br /> 4.2. SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION WELL INSTALLATION <br /> Based on soil and ground water data collected to date, AGE proposes installation of six SVE wells <br /> with the following well construction: <br /> • near- boring 135; slant well at 25 degree angle: screened 20 feet to 50 feet bsg; <br /> • near boring B4; vertical well screened fi-om 25 feet to 55 feet bsg. <br /> • near- boring MW-3; vertical well screened from 25 feet to 55 feet bsg. <br /> • near boring 136; vertical well screened from 25 feet to 55 feet bsg. <br /> • near boring B4 vertical well screened from 1.5 feet to 45 feet bsg. <br /> • near boring MW-I, dual-screened vertical well, screened from 20 feet to 35 feet bsg and fi•om <br /> 40 feet to 70 feet bsg. <br /> Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc. <br />
