Job Steps Hazards Controls RAC <br /> Maintenance 1. Equipment 1. The drilling rig and associated equipment must be L <br /> maintained in a proper functioning condition. All motors <br /> must be shut off and electrical, mechanical and hydraulic <br /> components locked out of service when making repairs. <br /> All equipment must be inspected daily prior to use. <br /> Equipment must be operated and maintained in <br /> 2. Fire accordance with manufacturer guidelines. Safety shutoff <br /> system must be tested daily and not disabled. Bleed off <br /> pressure on hydraulic lines before undoing fittings. Do not <br /> leave tools or parts loose on the rig after maintenance has <br /> been performed. <br /> 2. All motors must be shut off during refueling. Smoking in <br /> the vicinity of the drilling rig is not permitted. An A-B-C fire <br /> extinguisher must be maintained on the drilling rig and <br /> associated motorized equipment. Fuel containers will not <br /> be stored within 10' of the drilling rig motor. Fuel will be <br /> stored in UL approved safety containers with contents <br /> clearly labeled. <br /> Hazardous Drilling Locations 1. Explosion 1. Special procedures will be implemented when drilling in M <br /> known natural gas locations, such as special mud <br /> procedures and blow out preventers. <br />
