PROCEDURES
The fieldwork reported herein was performed in accordance with procedures outlined in Initial Work
' Plan for Preliminary Site Assessment, prepared by AGE, dated 30 November 2000, and approved
by the PHS-EHD by letter dated 13 December 2000
lie 3 1 GROUND WATER MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION
On 15 through 17 October 2001, six soil borings (B1[MW-1], B2[MW-2], B3[MW-1], 134, B5
through B6)were advanced utilizing a hollow stem auger drill ng for the collection and analysis of
soil samples and installation of three ground water monitoring wells
Soil boring and monitoring well locations, shown on Figure 2, were on the east portion of the site
and surrounded the approximate location of the former gasoline dispenser Soil bonng B 1[MW-1]
' was advanced in the former UST excavation Soil boring B2[MW-2] was established at the eastern
portion of the former UST dispenser area, south of boring B1[MW-1] Soil boring B3[MW-3] was
established approximately 30 feet west of the former UST location Soil boring B4 was established
20 feet south of the former UST excavation Soil borings B5 and B6 were advanced at a 20 degree
angle from vertical, oriented west under the building on the site and north under the neighboring
property
1 32 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
Each soil boring utilized to install a ground water monitoring well was advanced to a depth of 100
feet bsg Soil boring B4 was advanced to a depth of 50 feet bsg Soil borings 135 and 136 were
. advanced to vertical depths of 47 feet bsg and 40 feet bsg, respectively These soil borings were
advanced for collection of soil samples to characterize the subsurface soil profile and identify water-
Advanced GecEnvironmental,Inc
i
