Hazardous waste shall be stored in a container that is in good condition. <br /> Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good condition or have hazardous wastes <br /> properly disposed of by a licensed hazardous waste hauler under a proper manifest. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> In the main shop: <br /> -One 1 pint bucket containing metal fines was observed open without a lid <br /> In the used oil area: <br /> -One white 5 gallon plastic bucket containing used oil and used oil filters was observed without a lid. <br /> -One blue 15 gallon metal drum containing unpunctured/uncrushed used oil filters was observed without a lid. <br /> -One 5 gallon catch pan containing metal fines was observed without a lid. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately <br /> close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> In the main shop: <br /> -One red and two blue 30 gallon steel drums were observed without an empty label. <br /> -One blue 15 gallon steel drum was observed without an empty label. <br /> In the used oil area: <br /> -One green 55 gallon steel drum was observed without an empty label. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they <br /> were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied.
