The violation states "In the storage area, one white 5 gallon plastic bucket was observed with a red liquid in it. In the oil filter drain area, one white 5 gallon plastic bucket was observed with a black sludge/liquid. According to Pedro Lopez (employee), any absorbent that is used on the antifreeze and oil is thrown away into the trash.-RESPONSE OK A parts washer that is not used anymore was observed with an oily residue in it."-RESPONSE OK According to your response, oily absorbent and parts cleaner waste are hazardous. That takes care of the last two items of the violation. What about the red liquid and the black sludge/liquid? Where those antifreeze and oil/oily sludge? Employee Pedro was a new hire not trained at the time when asked where or how absorbent is disposed, Dry or wet absorbent is treated as hazardous waste disposed in labeled container. Parts washer was cleaned with parts cleaner solvent, dirty water mixed with solvent cleaner is picked as waste by Safety- Kleen. Violation 110: Failed to keep uniform manifests. OPEN- I need the uniform manifest for World Oil service order N2519806, dated 2/13/2018. One 55 gallon drum of used filters containing oil was picked up. If there is not a uniform manifest, then please provide a statement. We have requested the Copy of order N2519806 from World Oil service provider and will submit once received. Violation 301: Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. OPEN. What about the metal fines that were observed during the inspection? Was the used oil cleaned up? Facility is maintained and minimized to keep waste in facility waste is picked up every 30 days or sooner Metal shaving on floor were cleaned and disposed used oil was cleaned. Violation 601: Waste stored on site too long. OPEN-1 need the disposal records for each waste listed. The response also needs to state which disposal record was for what waste. Example-Service Order 2095493 was for the pickup of the used oil that was on site too long. In addition,the disposal records need to be legible. The ones attached were not legible enough for me to accept. The Disposal record for each waste listed below Oil Antifreeze Oil/Fuel Filters Parts cleaning solvent.
