KLEINFELDER <br /> File No. 20-3978-O1.W10 <br /> July 26, 1997 <br /> 4.2 Farmhouse Area(File No. 20-3978-O1.WR2) <br /> Based on the results of the subsurface assessment conducted in this area, Kleinfelder had the <br /> following recommendations detailed in our report "Limited Phase II Soil and Groundwater <br /> Assessment, Farmhouse Area, (Portion'of Phase I ESA Recommendation Numbers 7, 9, 12 and <br /> 18), Former Spreckels Sugar Plant No. 2, 18800 South Spreckels Road, Manteca, California, <br /> (APN#243-210-56)"dated February 24, 1997: <br /> 1. The equipment decontamination rinseate and drilling returns (soil) should be properly <br /> disposed of by the Client. Kleinfelder can assist the Client in that disposal at an additional <br /> charge if requested by the client. <br /> 2. If discolored soil, odors, or other evidence of contamination are encountered during site <br /> grading, development, etc..., our office should be notified immediately. <br /> 3. A copy of this report should be submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Department Environmental Health Division and the Central Valley Office of the State of <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board by the Atherton-Kirk for their review and <br /> consideration. <br /> 4. Based on the above reported analytical results, Kleinfelder does not recommend any further <br /> investigation or clean-up at the farmhouse area sites. owever, Klemfelder recommends that <br /> a copy of this report be submitted to the RWQCB and PHS/EHD for their review and <br /> comment. Additionally, Kleinfelder recommends t t a letter of "no further action" be <br /> requested from both agencies.
