No asbestos was detected in the forty nine spent lime samples collected from the lime ponds. <br /> 2. A copy of this report should be submitted to the applicable regulatory agencies for their <br /> consideration. This report and the conclusions and recommendations presented are subjected <br /> to the "Limitations" presented in Chapter 6 of this report. <br /> 4.4 Existine/Former Pond Locations (File No. 20-3978-O1.WR4) <br /> Based on the results of the subsurface assessment conducted in this area, Kleinfelder had the <br /> following recommendations detailed in our report "Limited Phase II Assessment, Former Waste <br /> Water Pond Bottoms, (Phase I ESA Recommendation Number 5), Former Spreckels Sugar Plant <br /> No. 2, 18800 South Spreckels Road, Manteca, California"dated February 24, 1997: <br /> 1. Kleinfelder does not recommend any further investigation or clean-up of the existing/former <br /> Spreckels waste water pond locations or areas where the pond bottom sludge may have been <br /> spread. <br /> 2. Kleinfelder recommends that a copy of this report be submitted to the RWQCB and <br /> PHS/EHD for their review and comment.
