Abandoning well OB-9 is <br /> necessary because the containment berm on which it is located is scheduled to be <br /> removed and the area regraded during closure activities for the adjacent sludge-disposal <br /> cell. A work plan describing the proposed closure of the sludge-disposal cell was <br /> submitted by L&A to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central <br /> Valley Region (CVRWQCB),on December 28, 2010 (Attachment B).
