WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS ORDER R5-2012-0105 14 <br /> DIAMOND PET FOOD PROCESSORS OF RIPON, LLC AND <br /> RIPON COGENERATION, LLC <br /> DIAMOND PET FOOD RIPON FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Order 5-01-148 is rescinded except for the purpose of <br /> enforcement and, pursuant to Water Code sections 13263 and 13267, Diamond Pet Food <br /> Processors of Ripon, LLC and Ripon Cogeneration, LLC, their agents, successors, and <br /> assigns, in order to meet the provisions contained in Division 7 of the Water Code and <br /> regulations adopted hereunder, shall comply with the following: <br /> [Note: Other prohibitions, conditions, definitions, and some methods of determining compliance <br /> are contained in the attached "Standard Provisions and Reporting Requirements for Waste <br /> Discharge Requirements"dated 1 March 1999.] <br /> A. Discharge Prohibitions <br /> 1. Discharge of wastes to surface waters or surface water drainage courses is prohibited. <br /> 2. Discharge of waste classified as "hazardous" under California Code of Regulations, title <br /> 23, section 2510 et seq., is prohibited. <br /> 3. Discharge of waste classified as `designated', as defined in CWC Section 13173, in a <br /> manner that causes violation of groundwater limitations, is prohibited. <br /> 4. Treatment system bypass of untreated or partially treated waste is prohibited, except <br /> as allowed by Standard Provision E.2 of the Standard Provisions and Reporting <br /> Requirements for Waste Discharge Requirements. <br /> 5. Discharge of waste at a location or in a manner different from that described in the <br /> Findings is prohibited. <br /> 6. Discharge of toxic substances into the wastewater treatment system or land application <br /> areas such that biological treatment mechanisms are disrupted is prohibited. <br /> 7. Application of residual solids to the land application areas is prohibited. <br /> 8. Discharge of domestic wastewater to the industrial wastewater treatment system is <br /> prohibited. <br /> B. Flow Limitations <br /> 1. Wastewater influent flows to the clarifier shall not exceed the following limits: <br /> Influent Flow Measurement Influent Flow Limit <br /> Diamond <br /> Monthly Average Flow 66,000 gpd <br /> Daily Maximum Flow 87,000 gpd <br /> Ripon Cogeneration, LLC <br /> Monthly Average Flow220,000 gpd <br /> Daily Maximum Flow 310,000 gpd <br /> As determined by the total influent flow for the calendar month divided by the number <br /> of days in that month. <br />
