The Discharger has coverage under the State Water <br /> Resources Control Board's (State Board's) General Permit for Storm Water Discharges <br /> Associated with Industrial Activities, Order 2014-0057-DWQ (Industrial General Permit) <br /> under the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 2448 — Wood Pallets and Skids. <br /> The inspection was conducted to evaluate compliance with the Industrial General <br /> Permit's requirements. <br /> Please review the enclosed inspection report and implement the following based on <br /> discussions and observations made during the inspection: <br /> • Revise the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to include the <br /> following information about the oil/water separator: Capacity of oil/water <br /> separator, description of how it is maintained, a maintenance schedule, how the <br /> oil/water separator is plumbed. If the oil/water separator is plumbed to the storm <br /> drain system, eliminate paint discharges into oil/water separator and into the <br /> grate inlet next to paint room in grassy area. <br /> • Revise the SWPPP to include how the paint washout will me managed. Water <br /> from paint washing activities cannot discharge into the storm drain system. <br /> • Limit the amount of wet sawdust stockpiled at the cutoff buildings, particularly <br /> during windy days. Revise the SWPPP to include how this sawdust will be <br /> managed. <br /> • Revise the SWPPP to include how the generation of sawdust at the cutoff <br /> building is managed. <br /> KARL E.
