Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95202
RE: SA-92-29
Recreational Vehicle Storage
Stockton Metro Airport
Dear Ms. Gould:
Thank you for submitting the above-referenced proposal to the San Joaquin County Airport
Land Use Commission for review and comment. State law requires land uses within airport
areas of influence to conform with the Airport Land Use Plan.
The project is located approximately 2 miles from the Stockton Metropolitan Airport's main
runway, within the Conical Imaginary surface. Issues of key concern in this area are: noise
sensitive land uses, tall structures and bird hazards. Other restrictions are described in the
enclosed list. The applicant is proposing to build a recreational vehicle storage facility. No
new drainage ponds are proposed, and the use is not noise sensitive. Therefore, the
remaining concern is whether or not the addition will be tall enough to require FAA review.
At this distance from the airport, the addition would have to exceed 100 feet in height to
require an FAA analysis. Unless the proposed height of the structure exceeds this limit, the
ALUC will find that this application conforms with the Airport Land Use Plan.
If you have any questions regarding these comments, please contact me.
Very -tfuJ_y yours,
,z'/_ 6 ,
DEBRA L.
