Drilling
will be accomplished using a truck-mounted hollow stem auger drill rig equipped with
8-inch-diameter augers in order to remove the annular seal around each well. Given that the
subsurface material is not suspected to be contaminated, drilling cuttings will be discharged on
the ground surface near each of the wells.
Once the wells have been adequately removed, the boreholes will be grouted with neat cement
by tremie method to approximately 5 feet bgs. Bentonite pellets, which will be adequately
hydrated, will be placed in the remaining five feet to the ground surface.
SCHEDULE
We plan to complete the well destruction by May 31, 2014 pending approval of this work plan
and favorable weather. It is our understanding that because the parcels for MW-5 and MW-6 are
owned by the same entity they may be covered under the same permit.
If you have any questions on any portion of this work plan, please call and we will be glad to
discuss them with you.
oQROFESS/o
Sincerely, Q` oSF T00 Fti
61
ENGE Incorporated
W No. 2677 rn
* Exp.6/30/2014
c0TECVA
N'Pv'
Richard G ndol o, C SC oe Too e, GE qTF OF CP.F
Attachment: Site Ian
