The boring will be converted to a dual- <br /> completion vapor extraction well with screened intervals from approximately 70-55 feet bgs and <br /> 45-30 feet bgs (See attached figure). A 2-inch-diameter, Schedule 40 PVC well will be <br /> constructed with 0.020-inch slot well screen from approximately 70-55 feet bgs, and blank <br /> casing from 55 feet bgs to the surface. A filter pack consisting of#3 sand will be placed in the <br /> borehole annulus from approximately 72 to 53 feet bgs. A bentonite seal approximately 2 feet <br /> thick will be placed from about 53 to 51 feet bgs and a neat-cement grout seal will be placed <br /> from 51 to 48 feet bgs. <br /> A 4-inch-diameter, Schedule 40 PVC well will be constructed approximately 10 feet above the <br /> top of the 2-inch diameter well screen and around the 2-inch diameter casing. The 4-inch <br /> diameter well will be constructed with 0.020-inch slot well screen from approximately 45-30 feet <br /> bgs, and blank casing from 30 feet bgs to the surface. A filter pack consisting of#3 sand will be <br /> placed in the borehole annulus from approximately 46 to 28 feet bgs. A bentonite seal <br /> approximately 3 feet thick will be placed from about 28 to 25 feet bgs and a neat-cement grout <br /> seal will be placed from 25 feet bgs to the surface.
