1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Raymond Greer, BSK & Associates (BSK) performed a soil and <br /> groundwater investigation to further delineate the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and <br /> groundwater in the vicinity of former on-site underground fuel storage tanks (USTs) <br /> Hydrocarbon-impacted soils were originally revealed by sampling and chemical analyses during <br /> the removal of USTs from the property, and during ensuing investigation of the site <br /> Site information is as follows <br /> Site Location 15634 Steinegul Road <br /> Escalon, California <br /> Project Contact Mr Brian Greer <br /> 1111 First Street <br /> Escalon, California 95320 <br /> (209) 838-3593 <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY <br /> 2.1 Site Description <br /> The site is a private residence located at 15634 Stelnegul Road in the City of Escalon The <br /> subject property, comprising approximately 135 acres, is identified as San Joaquin County APN <br /> 229-120-04 Figure 1 presents a Vicinity Map of the site The site includes a residence, <br /> workshop/garage, and adjacent pasture Figure 2, Site Plan, illustrates the developed portion of <br /> the Site <br /> The site is bounded by Stemegul Road to the west, a residence to the north, and pasture to the <br /> south and east Topography of the area is generally flat <br /> 2.2 Project History <br /> Two regular gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) and a fuel dispenser island were located <br /> between the residence and the workshop, at the approximate locations shown in Figure 2 The <br /> USTs had capacities of 550 and 1,000 gallons <br /> In September 1986, Precision Industries, Inc conducted precision testing on the two USTs The <br /> 550-gallon UST failed and the 1,000-gallon UST passed within the State guidelines In May <br /> 1987 the USTs were exhumed and removed from the Site under permit The USTs were hauled <br /> by H&H Ship Service Company to the Levin Metals Corporation disposal site in Richmond, <br /> California <br /> Intenm Report-07400I78-May 1999 1 <br />
