Raymond Greer (An Individual) <br /> 15634 South Steinegul Road, Escalon, California <br /> APN.• 229-120-04 <br /> (Private Residence) <br /> 1 <br />' Phase II-Site Assessment <br /> Report of Findings <br /> 1 <br />' 1.0 Project Identification <br /> This project has been developed to investigate and characterize the levels of contamination <br /> that were identified at the location where underground gasoline storage tanks (UST's) <br /> were excavated and removed This study consisted of the drilling of one (1) soil boring to <br /> an approximate depth of eighty (80) feet below ground level (b g I ) <br /> 2.0 Site Description and History <br /> The Raymond Greer Property is located in the City of Escalon, San Joaquin County, APN <br /> 229-120-04 (Figure 1) The subject site has a physical address known as 15634 South <br /> Steinegul Road The subject parcel incorporates approximately 1 35 acres <br /> The subject site is occupied by a residence on the north side and a maintenance <br /> shop/garage on the south side of the property Two (2) regular gasoline UST's were once <br /> located between the maintenance shop/garage and the residence (Figure 2) The tanks had <br /> volumetric yield capacities of 550 and a 1,000 gallons <br /> On September 15, 1986, a precision test was conducted on the two (2) UST's by Precision <br /> Industries, Inc The results of the test indicated that the 550 gallon UST failed, while the <br /> 1,000 gallon UST passed within state guidelines On May 15, 1987 both tanks were <br /> removed under permit and properly disposed off-site by H&H Ship Service Company to <br /> the Levin Metals Corporation disposal site, in Richmond, California One soil sample was <br /> taken by Precision Industries, Inc , the same day from each of the tank excavations, one at <br /> ten (10) feet b g 1 (the 550 gallon UST excavation) and one at twelve (12) feet b g 1 <br /> (1,000 gallon UST excavation) It was discovered that the soil sample underneath the <br /> 1,000 gallon UST had detectable concentrations of 430 mg/kg Benzene, 69 mg/kg <br /> Toluene, 6 0 mg/kg Total Lead and 1,200 mg/kg Total Volatile Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> The soil sample from beneath the 550 gallon UST tested 10 mg/kg Total Lead All other <br /> analytes tested "ND", none detected <br /> I <br />
