Raymond Greer(An Individual) <br /> 1 5634 Steinegul Road, Escalon, California June 7, 1997 <br /> Phase II-Site Assessment, Report of Findings Page: 3 <br />' materials, however, this sampling interval was waived in saturated sands in which <br /> sample recovery was not possible <br />' The soil samples were taken using a California Modified Split Spoon sampler with <br /> brass liners The sampler was driven with a 140 pound hammer repeatedly falling <br />' 30 inches <br /> Soil samples collected for analysis will be analyzed using EPA method 8020 for <br /> MTBE, BTX&E and method 5030/LUFT for TPH Gasoline Analyses was <br /> conducted by California Laboratory Services, Inc , a State-certified laboratory in <br />' Rancho Cordova, California <br />' 3.3 Groundwater Sampling <br /> After the soil sample from 80 0 to 81 5 feet was taken, the boring was advanced to <br />' 84 feet b g 1 Groundwater was sampled with disposable Teflon bailers in the open <br /> soil boring The samples were carefully poured from a Teflon bailer into clean <br /> glass vials with Teflon-lined screw caps provided by the laboratory Care was <br /> taken to ensure that no air space exists in the vials by inverting to check for <br /> bubbles and re-sampling if necessary The samples were analyzed or extracted <br /> within fourteen days according to their EPA methods The unfiltered samples will <br />' provide a qualitative indication whether groundwater has or has not been <br /> impacted, and whether or not morutonng wells need be installed <br />' Water samples collected for analysis were analyzed by EPA method 602 for <br /> MTBE, BTX&E, and method GCFID(5030) for TPH-Gasoline Analyses were <br /> conducted by Califorrua Laboratory Services, Inc , a State-certified laboratory, in <br /> Rancho Cordova, California <br /> 3.4 Domestic Well Sampling <br /> I An evaluation of the domestic well was conducted at the time of the field activities <br /> The evaluation was undertaken as a direct result of the depth of contamination <br /> encountered in Boring B-1 and because the domestic well is only 43' Southeast of <br /> B-1 The domestic water well sample was analyzed employing the same EPA <br /> methods as groundwater <br /> I <br />
