Santa Fe Road where MtBE
was detected. A water sample should be collected immediately from the well and analyzed
for MtBE by EPA Method 8260B. The original results should be sent directly to PHS-
EHD.
PHS-EHD has advised the occupants of 23565 S. Santa Fe Road to not drink the water
from this well or use it in the preparation of food. If additional sampling of this well
indicates that MtBE is present in the groundwater, a permanent modification should be
made so that the occupants of the parcel have a potable water supply. Your cooperation in
monitoring the impact to this receptor and your own wells, is critical in investigating and
remediating this situation.
Please have your consultant schedule an appointment with Michael Infuma at (209) 468-
3454 for the re-sampling event.
Donna Heran,RENS,Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael J.
