Work Plan For Remedial Approach and Well Installation 5 <br /> Ranch Market Site,23569 South Santa Fe Road,Riverbank,California May 2,2002 <br /> Construction Activities <br /> Remediation Well Installation <br /> SVE and ozone sparge wells will be installed prior to system construction. A remediation well <br /> installation work plan has been included as part of this work plan. With approval of the work <br /> plan by the RWQCB, well installation permits will be obtained from the SJCEHD prior to <br /> drilling the proposed wells. <br /> Remediation System Installation <br /> The remediation system construction will commence upon procurement of all system <br /> construction and operation permits, completion of pre-field activities, and completion of well <br /> installation activities. SECOR will oversee the construction activities. This includes on-site <br /> management of contractor and subcontract personnel. An experienced representative will be <br /> present to document Site activities using daily logs and photographic documentation. The <br /> representative will verify compliance with design drawings,construction specifications, <br /> building permits,the site health and safety plan, and construction schedules. The representative <br /> will also maintain revisions to a job-copy of the design drawings for preparation of as-built <br /> drawings. <br /> Waste Profile and Disposal <br /> The soil generated during the trenching activities will profiled to determine if it can be spread <br /> onsite or requires offsite disposal. If required,the soil will be profiled, hauled, and disposed of <br /> at Forward Inc. landfill near Stockton, CA. <br /> System Start-up and Shake Down <br /> SECOR will conduct a system start-up and shake down to insure the ozone sparge system and <br /> catalytic oxidizer are working properly. In addition, all fail safe mechanisms and interlocks <br /> will be tested to insure the system is capable of automatic shut during alarm conditions. Once <br /> the system is fully operable, official startup will be performed. The system will be monitored <br /> and sampled according to the conditions of each of the system operating permits.
