` 4.0 GROUNDWATER ANALYTICAL RESULTS
Groundwater laboratory analytical results are summarized in.Table 1.. No analytical data were
reported for well MW-3 due to the fact that the well was not sampled due to the presence of free
product..
TPHg was detected in three wells with the highest concentration detected in MW-7 at 200
micrograms per liter (ug/1). Benzene was detected in three wells with the highest concentration in
MW-5 at 48 ug/l. MTBE was detected in two wells with the highest concentration in MW-5 at
15 ug/l. Other FOCs were not detected above the laboratory reporting limits in samples collected
from the groundwater monitoring wells. Well AS-1, ,located within the source area and screened
from 40 to 45 feet below ground surface (bgs) (deeper than the monitoring wells), was sampled for
the eighth time since the startup of remedial activities. The groundwater sample collected from AS-1
did not contain concentrations of TPHg, BTEX, or FOCs above the laboratory reporting limits
(Table 1). Copies of the laboratory .analytical reports and chain-of-custody documents for the
groundwater sampleswells are included in Appendix D.
A decreasing contaminant trend in groundwater has been observed since the start of.remediation in
the Third Quarter 2002 (September 2002) through the Fourth Quarter 2004 (December 2004). The
r,
residual contaminants are most prevalent in wells MW-I, MW-5, and MW-7, with free product in
L--oMW-3.
f
The water samples collected from domestic wells DW-2R, DW-3, and DW-4 did not contain
detectable concentrations of TPHg, BTEX.or.FOCs. Copies of the laboratory analytical reports and
chain-of-custody documents for the water samples collected from the domestic wells are included in
Appendix D.
Ui
l
December 30,2004
Project No.58643-06-01
l
