Quarterly Monitonng and Sampling Report(Q3 200 1) 3 <br /> Ranch Market 23569 Santa Fe Road Riverbank California August 9 2001 <br /> Final Remediation Plan <br /> SECOR submitted a Final Remediation Plan (FRP) on March 2, 2001, which was approved by <br /> the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region, (RWQCB) an a <br /> letter dated March 26, 2001 The FRP explained details of the remedial plan, which proposed 10 <br /> soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells and 12 ozone sparge wells The SVE wells would be piped to <br /> a 500 scfm catalytic oxidizer and the ozone wells would connect to a 20 cfm ozone spargang unit <br /> Subsequent to the submittal of the FRP, SECOR expanded the remediation weII array to include <br /> I additional ozone sparge wells, for a total of 23 ozone wells The system was expanded to <br /> destroy dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons over a greater area <br /> Domestic Wells <br /> Four domestic water supply wells are located within 340 feet of the former tank pat (Figure 2) <br /> Well# Location from Tank Pat Comments <br /> DW-1 90 feet west of tank pat Onsite well <br /> DW-2 120 feet south of tank pat Down gradient well (Well destroyed) <br /> DW-3 245 feet south of tank pat Down gradient of tank pat <br /> DW-4 340 feet south of tank pat Down gradient of tank pat <br /> DW-2R 200 feet south of tank pat Down gradient of tank pat (Well installed <br /> December, 2000) <br /> Water samples collected from domestic wells have been analyzed for the presence of BTEX, <br /> TPHg, five oxygenates, 1,2-Dachloroethane (1,2-DCA), and 1,2-Dabromoethane (EDB) Since <br /> water samples collected from DW-2 contained reportable concentrations of MtBE, the well was <br /> taken out of service <br /> On Apn16, 2000, SECOR's field technician interviewed the property owners or renters <br /> associated with the four domestic water wells and found that water pumped from wells DW-1, <br /> DW-3, and DW-4 was used for irrigation and domestic use All parties interviewed indicated <br /> they were drinking bottled water <br /> Replacement of Domestic Well DW-2 <br /> On January 11, 2001, SECOR oversaw destruction of domestic well DW-2, located south of <br /> Ranch Market (Figure 2) Details of the well destruction are described in SECOR's DW-2 Well <br /> Destruction Report, dated January 23, 2001 <br /> On December 20, 2000, SECOR began oversight of the installation of domestic well DW-2R, the <br /> replacement domestic well for DW-2 From December 28, 2000 to January 5, 2001, the <br /> File Ranch Market\Report\Rtverbank 01-3Q <br />
