SECOR - international incorporated January 23, 2001 Mr Michael Infurna San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor Stockton, CA 95201-0388 Subject: DW-2 Well Destruction Report Ranch Market - Riverbank 23569 South Santa Fe Road Riverbank, CA SECOR Project 077.43042.003 Dear Mr Gray SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) submits this report to summanze the methods and results of the destruction of a domestic water well, DW-2, located on the Pantoja Property at • 23565, Riverbank, CA (Attachment 1, Figures 1 and 2) Destruction of domestic well DW-2 was conducted on January 11, 2001, as proposed in SECOR's DW-2 Well Destruction Work Plan dated December 11, 2000 The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) approved the work plan in a correspondence dated January 2, 2001 (Attachment 2) BACKGROUND The location of the domestic wells is shown on Figure 2 On October 7, 1999, domestic well DW-2 was sampled and found to contain 38 parts-per-billion methyl-tert-butyl ether Due to the presence of MtBE, domestic well DW-2 was sampled in November and December 1999 to confirm the presence of MtBE in the well Due to the presence of MtBE reported in water samples collected from domestic well DW-2 on October 7, 1999, the RWQCB required the well be shut down In January 2000, DW-2 was shut down and a water line was run from the Ranch Market well DW-1 to the Pantoja Property On November 16, 2000, per the directives in the SJCEHD letter dated October 9, 2000, the water line running from DW-1 to the Pantoja Property . was disconnected and replaced with an water tank supplied by Aero Pure Water (Attachment 2) Aero Pure Water supplied the holding tank with water on an as needed bases The holding tank File DW-2 Destruct doc 3017 Kilgore Road, Suile 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 861 0430 Fax www secor com
