Van De Vuurst January 16, 2003 Page 2 Based on the termination of the VCA, the subject property will remain on DTSC's Site Mitigation and Brownfields Reuse Program Database under Voluntary Cleanup Program Properties, and will be listed under the "Agreement Terminated" category, indicating that the approved Voluntary Cleanup Agreement was terminated prior to the completion of the agreement. The status of the property will be listed as "Removal Action Required" indicating that removal of metals impacted soil is required for approved use of the property under an unrestricted land use (i.e., residential, day care, etc.). The property remaining on DTSC's list does not prohibit the use of the property, however, given the elevated metals concentrations observed in shallow site soils, the site is not appropriate for an unrestricted land use where sensitive receptors may be exposed to the elevated metals concentrations. DTSC appreciates Aeronautical Rotor Blades cooperation while under the VCA for the subject property and welcomes Aeronautical Rotor Blades to reenter DTSC's Voluntary Cleanup Program in the future to complete site characterization and cleanup activities.
