1990 The subject property building is now visible in its current configuration. Vallejo
Court appears fully developed. Four aboveground water storage tanks are visible
on the northern boundary of the subject property. The area directly above the
location of the septic tank appears heavily vegetated. A large residential
development has been constructed north of the subject property.
1992 No significant changes to the subject property are observed. There are a large
number of tires scattered throughout the subject property. An increase in
commercial development is observed in the surrounding areas while the Armed
Forces housing complex to the south has increased in size.
1996 A concrete pad has been constructed around the subject property building in its
current configuration. No additional changes to the subject property are observed.
No significant changes to the surrounding properties are observed.
Because the subject property was historically used for agricultural purposes, the potential for
residual concentrations of pesticides in the near surface soil exists. The use of pesticides likely
only involved the routine spraying of crops and no evidence of pesticide mixing, storage or
handling was evident from the historical aerial photographs of the Site, and it is our opinion that
the use of pesticides has not likely created a Recognized Environmental Condition.
Based on Dames & Moore's review of historical aerial photographs, concerns were not identified
' on or adjacent to the subject property which are likely to have created a Recognized
Environmental Condition on the subject property.
6.4 SANBORN FIRE INSURANCE MAPS
Dames & Moore contracted with Environmental Risk Information and Imaging Services, Inc.,
(ERIIS)to conduct a search of their collection of Sanborn Fire Insurance Rate maps for coverage
including the subject property. Based on the results of the ERIIS search, no Sanborn maps were
identified which include the subject property.
6.5 HISTORICAL TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS
Dames & Moore reviewed historical topographic maps of the subject property for the years
1912, 1952, 1968, 1976, and 1987. The following observations were made:
1912 The subject property appears undeveloped. The Western Pacific Railroad appears
adjacent to the site to the east and the Sacramento Line Railroad appears to the
west. The surrounding areas appear relatively undeveloped with the small village
of Lathrop observed to the south. San Joaquin River appears to the west of the
subject property. East Roth Road has been developed.
1952 The subject property appears to be undeveloped in the 1952 topographic map.
Small buildings surround the property to the east and west. The Armed Forces
Reserve facility is apparent south of the subject property. The town of Lathrop
J:\05930191\ESA.doc 10
