Additional Site Assessment and Remediation Feasibility Testing Work Plan
• Former FISCO WAREHOUSE (Howard Lenz Property)
' 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Peter Lenz,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this work
' plan for the vertical assessment of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water and the
performance of a soil vapor extraction pilot test at 1648 Shaw Road,Stockton, California(site) The
location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2
' The San Joaquin Count Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) has
q Y m
directed by letter dated 25 June 2001 that a work plan be prepared to assess the vertical extent of
' impacted ground water and to perform a soil vapor extraction(SVE)pilot test A copy of the letter
is included as Appendix A This work plan is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation of underground storage
' tanks (UST) sites
' Background information and results of previous investigations at the site can be found in the
AGE-prepared documents, Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, dated 21 August 2000 and
Monitoring Well Installation and Quarterly Report-First Quarter 2001,dated 23 March 2001 Soil
' and ground water data from the previous investigations can be found in Tables 1 through 4
Cross-sections depicting the general lithology and the approximate distribution of contaminants in
the soil beneath the site are illustrated on Figures 3 through 6 Maps depicting the approximate
' distribution of dissolved TPH-g, TPH-d and benzene are illustrated on Figures 7, 8 and 9
The lateral and vertical extent of impacted soil has been defined and the lateral extent of impacted
' ground water has been defined The vertical extent of impacted ground water has not been defined
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Based on the data accumulated from previous investigations and quarterly monitoring, AGE
' proposes to advance three cone penetrometer testing (CPT) soil borings to collect ground water
samples to assess the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater Additionally,
AGE proposes to perform a SVE pilot test for remediation feasibility testing The assessment
' activities will consist of the following tasks
' • Permitting and pre-field work preparations,
• CPT soil boring advancement,
' • Ground water sample collection and analysis,
• • Performance of an SVE pilot test, and
' Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc
